Red Kite Found Poisoned

A rare bird of prey was found dead by an unsuspecting member of the public this week in North Yorkshire.

It is suspected that the kite was poisoned with rat poison, an illegal pesticide. A full investigation is underway.

It is thought that the kite was not directly poisoned but was shot down and managed to survive by eating poisoned rats and carcases.

Let us know your thoughts on this….

It has been announced that parakeets can be shot without a licence as of next year.

It has been ruled that parakeets will now have the same legal status as pigeons, crows and magpies as they are a threat to other birds, crops and public safety.

We want to know your opinion on this. There are over 44,000 parakeets in the UK, should farmers and land owners be allowed to shoot down pesky parakeets?
